This is about Thanks!

On March 29th over 250 people came together at the Delphi Hall to say “Jim we support you, Jim we believe in you”. I received so many positive and enthusiastic comments - Thank you!

I want to thank Chris Rigas, his manager Joanna and their staff for the great food and stellar service. Thanks to our 30 election committee members and their teams for their help that night with the reminder calls, e-mails, hall set-up, welcome tables, sign-up stations, entertainment and sound system, PowerPoint presentations, and parking control. It was an awesome effort and the evening was a huge success with people signing up to support the campaign in so many ways.

We called it our volunteer recognition night. We could have called it “Meet the team” night but from the beginning I wanted people to know that I understand and appreciate the commitment they are making when they volunteer.

Time is a very precious commodity these days. Like you, spending quality time with my family is a priority. We do this while balancing a work schedule at home, in the office or on the road. Finding time for what is most important is tough enough.

In addition to their busy lives, our election team members will find the time to go door to door delivering flyers or canvassing neighbourhoods with me. Others will be busy putting up signs. We already have over 500 signs requested for your lawns ...that collaboration means a lot to me.
I’ve succeeded in two election campaigns because of my team. My past campaign volunteers have come back to help and they will work together with so many new and energetic people on a team of over 360!

As I write this I realize we are now only six months away from the municipal election and our team is still growing every day.

I’m excited and will make my first campaign promise: I have and will continue to give 100% for you during this campaign and as Mayor of Niagara Falls. I appreciate your commitment,
